Continuation....Smiles persist...
Coming back to it.. I woke up this morning and realized that
writing about my friends had a great impact on my mind yesterday because I was
all with them, partying, gossiping, relaxing in Denny’s and Jethro’s room last
night and they were shocked seeing me there again. I could not believe it
myself until I fetched, it was in my dream!!! :P
As always Dennis Anthony was at his best in his shorts and
tee and slumber eyes for obvious reason, sitting on his cot. He is a stout with
hoarse voice that completely turns me on..hehehe… He is 6’4” tall with an out
of the world hair style. And believe you me, he can pull it off.. He is bald
with some strands of hair left at the back of his head which I loved tying
before he left for work. And that makes him look like “genie” in the Alladdin
tale :P. Denny as we call him has the softest and the sweetest heart and soul.
This man, who one could never believe is gentle, balmy and merciful, looks stern
and irascible.
He loves dancing and wants to learn “Jive” or may be
“Salsa”. I remember evenings where we all sat and blabbered about sensible and
non sensible stuff. Denny I have noticed is a kind who listens and then reacts
unlike some of us who just want to put across their point of view before
listening and understanding the entire situation. But yeah, there is one thing
he cannot stand is irrational behaviour. He gets annoyed with people who snitch
and act selfish. I have never seen him wrathful for no reason or even with a
reason unless it goes beyond a point.
He loves to travel across places and showcase the beauty of
it by his creative photography. He is incomparable. I haven’t met a person who
has the fire in him to learn every possible thing on this planet.. Be it
history, geography, science, literature, or music… Our man, changes his choice
of music every year to get hang of every genre. He wants to know all kinds of
music. Be it rock, reggae, hip hop, trance, jazz, electric, metal or
BOLLYWOOD!! Yes, he loves few hindi songs and makes his move on some. One of
his favourites from a latest bollywood movie is “Phir Mohabbat from Murder 2”.
The boy gets a smile on his face. :) Awww, I miss that now..!!!
Mysore has given me the bestest, weirdest and the most adorable
friends. One weird soul is Ravi Nithyanandan. He is weird because he is weird!!
He does things you cannot believe; he loves his friends like no one. He is
daring, loving, sweet, soft. He is my brother when it comes to care and my best
friend when we go retarded to have fun and enjoy ourselves. I met him last year
in Bangalore facility of the company we both worked for. It has been quite a
journey since then. Ravi and I bonded over couple of drinks and the elongated,
emotional conversation begun. He is short, lean, and compact with a colossal
heart!!! He gives me “gyan” about every possible thing. Be it work, friends,
relationships, people around or whatever..
Ravi is a Tamilian who lives in Mumbai and has roots from
Tamil Nadu and Hyderabad. Studied in Canada for a while that changed his life. He
loves hanging out with his friends and is best at staying connected. He bothers
not for money... (His dad holds a managerial position in RBI) :P and even
otherwise..he is a spendthrift. We gel well because of a lot of reasons
however; one I find most important is the taste of music. We both love old
bollywood, slow numbers. We could sit for hours on the terrace listening them
and just listening.. We have had ball of a time singing, dancing, and jumping
around the house.
Oh! How can I forget about his cooking skills? An
astonishing cook who loves spicy food and makes sure that we face challenges in
every possible way, the next day. L
He is messy yet we all adore him. I love when he cooks but hate the sight of
kitchen. It is dirty, filthy and yuckkkk!!! Now since I could not enter their
house due to reasons, I used to be content. I did not have to see that sight.
Lollll. Poor Usha has the workload now. She cleans the vessels for us. He he he
he…
Ravi has a pure heart of a child who is unable to
distinguish between right and wrong at times. He goes with the flow. He is
stupid and naïve, just like Usha..No wonder they are best of friends now. He
needs to mature and learn to judge people; in my opinion but I am sure he is
smart enough to sense things at the right time.
As I mentioned before, I only reason I could go to Mysore
this time was NLP. Neuro Linguistic Program organized by Neoway Academy in
Bangalore for a week. I left for it on 22nd of July and returned on
the 31st of the same month. I met another idiot before I left Mysore
but did not connect well as he would stay busy on phone or in his own world. I
had only seen him taking a stroll outside the house busy on phone. Sunil, is
fun to be with but only when “Mango” is around. Let me explain it before he
finds it offensive. He is fun with Mango because in her absence he is only busy
talking to her on phone and we miss his crazy talks. Perhaps, it is important
to ensure Mango’s presence to enjoy Sunil’s company. :P
Sunil is a north indian, raised in south india, not sure
where born...anyways that does not matter.. He believes in only one thing, i.e
to spend maximum time with his girl and give her the most attention, love and
affection. I get completely zapped seeing it. He is the most understanding
boyfriend. I wish I had too.. :P
He loves to drink…no no..not water or juice..i m talking
about the men’s drink..Whisky, rum, beer.. And the companion he had most of the
time was me. Yes!! I loved it sometimes as it helped me unwind and relax from
tiring long day. I only noticed this guy well after I came back from NLP. On
the 31st of July, I met Mango..oops…Charishma Aithal. Charishma is a
PEPSI fan. You offer her water, she will deny, offer her juice, she’ll deny
again, try with Coke or Thumps up, you might need a doctor the next minute as
she might throw the bottle at you..lollllll…(kidding) She is a Kannadiga, from
Udupi and raised in Saudi. She has been in Bangalore from few years for her
studies and now work and ofcourse..Sunil!! :)
She’s a sweetheart, soft spoken and mild. We became thick
friends since we had the same shifts at work unlike others in the house. She
was new to Infosys and was still struggling learning and understanding the
processes and content. Charishma came across as someone who does not interact
much with girls and it was true! We are alike in that context and hence got
along. We bitched, we gossiped, we shared our feelings, the conversations went
for hours as we loved each other’s company and all of it would not be without a
bottle of PEPSI is her hand. He he…
It is sometimes unbelievable to know how well we connect
with people in a short period and be friends for life. Sunil and Charishma have
been with me most of the times giving me memories that will never fade away. During
the times, when only Charishma and I had afternoon shift, we supported each
other at all times. We sat on the terrace or my room after we returned from
work, discussing and confabulating. This girl made me daring and we shared some
adventurous moments at Middle Lounge. ;)
It was quite depressing for me to part ways with them and
could not even express it. Charishma and Sunil had to leave for Bangalore a day
before I had to pack my bags for Delhi. Life does funny things! I did not know
that I would get to spend the best days with them before I leave for Delhi. I
thank myself or may be Bangalore traffic to allow me to miss my flight and
giving me an opportunity to spend a night at Sunil’s house. Pasta, desperate
housewives, rum and some……Ahhh!! Blissful..hehehe… Life is beautiful if you
have great friends around and I think I have been lucky to have so many of
them. I miss these two squirrels.. :(
Mysore has furnished my life and bestowed me with such
wonderful memories and people. One person outside this Shradha house who I
confide in, adore and miss terribly is Farida Hussaina. She is Vybhav’s
neighbour and we had met just couple of times before he left for Pune. I still
do not know the reason of my quietness then and a complete opposite later. After
Vybhav had gone, I met Farida couple of times and it is really difficult for me
put them into words. Those moments of laughter stay with me and I still rejoice
them. There was utter nonsense, verbalization of thoughts, confiding in each
other about several issues, we gossiped, expressed views and what not!!!
Farida is smart, talented, strong, witty, cute, lovable and above all a best friend. She is married to Tahir for 8 years now and have a cute,
super hyper and beautiful daughter Hussaina. I have been unlucky to have spent
time with her yet have heard her on phone aping her mom word by word. That was
enough for me to know how mischievous she is.
Memories from that blue house and its terrace with a
beautiful view hover and will last forever. The taste of yummy aloo paranthas,
apricot halwa and strawberry juice still lingers. Mmmmmmm!!!! :P I am grateful
to her for preparing all this during Ramzan when she should be resting. Apart
from all this, I also bring with me souvenirs that remind me of her at every
glance. These matter the most and will always bring a smile. She is another “Girl
– friend” I had an opportunity of knowing in few days.
My special thanks to Pavan, Kumar, Anthony, Aditya, Vijeya and Ganapathy. You all have been great support. I miss guruji for his daring acts, Kumar and Anthony, i knew for few days, Aditya for his never ending talks, Vijeya for her goat bleet and songs she sung in my room and ofcourse Ganpati for everything.
At last, I watch the ground beneath my feet pass by, I look
up at faces...at smiles..at moments of sorrow...and the smallest of details has
an equal impact on me. This journey has just begun. I found friends for
lifetime and we will create history every time we meet!!! Apologies, if I missed
someone or something but believe me, I may not have penned those memories; they
will stay and linger till my last breath. I miss u allllllllll, love u loadssss
and will always keep u in my prayers forever. Mwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh…Huggggssss…kissseesssss….!!!!
