Reminiscing moments of exultant happiness
The more I write, the lesser it is. For a simple reason that
it is all about Mysore, the place I belong. This is about my third trip to this
heavenly, serene city. I had never thought in my wildest dream to visit here
again or to put it correct I had never thought that my parents would permit me
for that. Thanks to the NLP, I got permission to take a batch in Infosys. Trust
me, this time it was as easy as pie to convince dad.
This trip has been by far the best for me. It’s funny to
have different experiences at the same place only because of different people
around. I had the best of buddies around all this while and can’t thank them
enough for making me fall in love with this city and giving me the best memories
with them. Today, I take this opportunity to thank all the people I met, have
known and spent my days with.
I reached Mysore on 4th July, called Pinto uncle
(owner of the place I go stay at) and landed at J C Home. I am always
overwhelmed seeing the way uncle cares for me like his own daughter. It’s not
even believable to know the level of conversations we have had about zillion
issues. Sometimes we have laughed off about silly things happening in that
house considering 7-8 people reside there. We have had subtle arguments but
despite that we have ceaseless respect, appreciation and affection for each
other. I miss him and really pray to god to give him best of health for years
to come.
The first day slipped resting and chit chatting with our
mood swing girl, Usha Nair. Believe it, her mood swings faster than rotation of
the Earth. :P Irrespective, she’s a sweetheart. I have been lucky to have spent
time with her on this trip like never before. I have seen her at her best and
worst and it gives me an immense pleasure to tell you all, this sometimes
quiet, sometimes chirpy, sometimes irritated girl has a beautiful heart within.
She’s harmless and naïve at times but the innocence she holds touches my heart.
Reetttaaaa, as I call her is an emotionally strong girl and only an intense
moment or feeling could cause her affliction. Our friendship bloomed last year
and since then has been going strong and steady. I miss her and really wish her
lots of happiness that she deserves.
The next day was quite exciting as I had to go to the
campus. Also had to meet Vybhav Sharma, a friend I had known for a while and
was meeting for the first time. I was delighted as it was a much awaited moment
for me. Finally, we made it!!! Initially, I was nervous to meet him as he came
across as a snobbish, nose up in the air kind of a person. And we all know
boys, if they are given too much attention, they act demented. However, it was
quite unlike my dim-witted imagination. I felt I was meeting a long lost friend
and felt comfortable and relaxed. That is how this cute looking, tall,
handsome, chirpy boy makes you feel. I love the humility he carries despite
being raised in Delhi, amongst the buggers bragging about things they haven’t
achieved in life. It is so true, the upbringing says it all!!!
Vybhav and I became friends’ couple of months back when I found
him on FB and confabulated. A confession to make, Vybhav being unaware of it… I
had already seen him in the campus on my last trip and could not let that innocent
yet naughty smile go unnoticed. More than that, I could finally see an eye
candy in the campus..Of course, girls too need some..:P he he he… Best is yet to come..I even noticed his name
on his Infy ID. And that is when the search began..lolllll not literally
though. That smile was . I was longing to strike a conversation every time I saw
him around but resisted. I thought, “he might just ignore me, what if he does
not respond, but where is he from, looks like a north indian, he might think
otherwise…” what not!! There was a gush of thoughts and I could not decide. Finally,
I decided not to. Why bother? But when I came back to Delhi, while surfing FB, I
thought of searching him and it turned out to be a piece of cake..ask me why?
Our man has a unique spelling…VY..BHAV, unlike most north indian boys who spell
their name as Vaibhav. At last, I see a guy in an orange tee with the most
interesting line on it.. “I say no to babes but they don’t listen” LMAO…. he
somewhat looked similar and there I go…!!! Lollllll…
I believe it was my people’s management skill that worked. (finally my PGDBM is helping me somewhere :P) Vybhav has a special place in my heart now and we are best of buddies for life. I cherish each moment spent with him. I can’t thank him enough to accompany me at all possible times especially when I had no work for the first week and thereafter. Thanks darling, you are a real sweetheart and I pray and wish you come to Delhi soon so that we can paint the town red!!! ;) I miss the terrace nuisance, our drive to St. Philomena’s to have a corn (hahahahaha), the tea break at work, our first outing to Purple Haze, chamundi, minakshipura, blue lagoon trip, fun we all had in my room, pulling your leg for……;) etc etc etc……Can’t write enough.. I already have damp eyes..and yeah not to forget your decision of going to Pune at the best time possible. Looked all planned!!! I wish you had stayed for more days Vybhavvvvv….:((
Jethro J Sajen, another trainer in the gang who I met that
day is on his own trip all together. The intensity of “intense” is quite crazy
for him. He he he... Jethro made me go green inside the house, outside the
house, in the campus and every possible place except for the dark days he
spent. :P He is one of a kind.. I am his “machy” and the boys, “macha or aaliya”.
Jet set go…as shikha named him is always up for a scene. He’s lost sometimes in
his own world, forgets his phone at home but there are few things he cannot do
without..lollll.. I experienced a new level of trip being with him and it
wouldn’t have been possible in his absence. Jethro was my partner in crime from
the day one till I left. He made an effort to hang out with me each day. Be it
terrace, my room, campus, the park behind our house, their room or wherever..
Had he not been there, I would have missed knowing someone who’s so adorable. I
have recently changed my FB name to “Pre Jain” and a mere reason for doing so
is him. He would always tease me by calling, Pre……..followed by evals and crack
a smile!!! Pre-Eval is the evaluation conducted by Infy for the talents who are
being trained by us. Hence, he found it amusing and so did all of us.. :)
Since there is a long list of friends I had in Mysore, I shall
continue with it soon..To be continued…. :)
